God's Love... The Cross

Hey everybody, I'm back from my short hiatus... I've been conducting a discussion about God's existence with an atheist. I'm thinking about posting it once the conversation is over. Tomorrow, I'll be gone for the day, so I hope this beautiful picture will hold you over until I get back. In the meantime...
I'm sharing this picture today in accordance with Renee's meme, Something Beautiful. Renee, I hope you don't mind that I'm doing this a bit early. I decided to add a Scripture to this photo, but I wasn't sure what would fit it at first. However, I now believe I have found the PERFECT passage, and I wanted to share it with y'all. I don't have any commentaries today, but I think the Scripture/picture combination speaks for itself... One thing that I will say is that I think it's pretty awesome that the sun looks a lot like a cross; this is why I thought the Scripture was quite pertinent -- the cross is the very essence of God's love for us. You may recognize this picture from the My Life page (you can view this page, by clicking on the tab at the top of the blog). Enjoy, and be sure to tell me what you think! See you all Tuesday (or thereafter)!

  3. Wow, that's cool! :) That is interesting how the sun looks like a cross! And how cool that the sun shining through the trees can be used to represent the Son of God who died on the cross to give us continual sunshine in our lives! :)

  4. Thanks, all! :D I took a few more pictures like this yesterday, though I'm not sure how they came out... I love to take pictures of the sun and the sky; if these pictures turn out, you'll see them on my photography page. And Renee, you hit the nail on the head; that is exactly what I was thinking -- the parallel between the sun and the Son of God! How awesome! Thank you all for your comments!
