Year Four Is In the Books!!! {and October Baby DVD Giveaway}

It's been four years since I started this blog. And while it has become more of a hobby than something that I keep up with regularly, I wanted to take a moment to mark off year four.

This past year has been much more mild, since I haven't been postly regularly here; however, there have still been a few really neat highlights that I wanted to share with you all.

Firstly, I am in the process of raising the level of reviews found here on the blog. Some of the highlights from last year include a review of the ebook True Reason, a book written in response to the secular Reason Rally which took place back in March. (You can view all posts on the Reason Rally -- which includes a guest post by Tom Gilson, a leader in the True Reason initiative -- here.) I also recently posted a review of the book Jesus + Nothing = Everything by Tullian Tchividjian. You can view all reviews done on this blog to date on the sidebar under "Book Reviews and Essays." Be on the lookout for more reviews, since I am in the middle of several of exciting ones coming up soon on the blog!

In April I posted the Resurrection series, which is based on the book written by historian Michael Licona and Gary Habermas entitled, The Case for the Resurrection. You can view the entire series here.

And lastly, in honor of the fourth year of this blog, I am excited to announce a giveaway! I will be giving away one (1) copy of the new film, October Baby, set to release on DVD on September 11!!

Today is April Fool's Day. While I am not too enthralled with the idea of playing tricks on people, I wanted to share a little story with you all (no offense meant to those to whom it refers): An atheist complained to a Christian friend, "You Christians have your sacred holidays, such as Christmas and Easter. Jews celebrate their national holidays, such as Passover and Yom Kippur. But we atheists have no recognized national holidays. It's unfair discrimination." His friend replied, "Why don't you celebrate April first?" On a more serious note, I would like to remind you all that we are called to be "fools for Christ" (1 Corinthians 4:10). This does not mean that we are to act stupid in the name of Christ; rather, it means that we are to go about God's business -- even if it makes us look like fools in the process.
