...I decided to do something different on this blog today for good measure!
Blog Bash
It's a teen bash party! :D By official counts, I'm not a teenager; but I'm one of those people who is blessed to look so much younger than she is that everyone thinks I'm a teen! :D So I figured I'd have some fun and play along. You can join in too, if you'd like; just click on the picture to get started. Okay... here we go... A little introduction about me: My name is Miss Szymanski (I go by a few other names, but the one that seems to catch on the most is Miss S. :) ) I live in the beautiful countryside of Central New York. My interests include, photography, singing and listening to Christian music, reading books, blogging, and loving my pets. But my biggest interest lies in the area of Christian apologetics. The Five Blog Bash Questions: Why do you blog? I blog to put some positive information out there about the soundness of the Christian faith. I grow tired of hearing so much skepticism and complaints. So many people do not know why they are a Christian, and if they listen to the world long enough, they are convinced that there is no evidence in its favor. That is why I blog: to show them that they are wrong, that there is so much evidence. We truly have a sound, reasonable faith! What do you blog about? Christian apologetics What do you find to be the biggest reward you get from blogging? I actually get two rewards out of blogging. The first is all the wonderful friends I meet along the way, who make my day. But I also very much enjoy it when someone tells me how much my blog means to them -- to think that what I write has encouraged someone... To me, that is priceless! How long have you been blogging? Two years this August! YAY! :D Let's hear the story behind your blog title? :) The story? Well, I do not have an "official" story. The blog title came about as one of those "spur of the moment" deals; I had already decided that I wanted to blog about Christian apologetics, but I honestly had no idea what I was going to name my blog! All I knew was that I wanted to defend the Christian faith. So that is what I typed! :D Obviously, the name stuck... it hasn't failed me for two years! ;) So now that you've heard some trivia about me, head on over to my "About Me" page if you want to know more about me and my blog! :D

April Fools

Today is April Fool's Day. While I am not too enthralled with the idea of playing tricks on people, I wanted to share a little story with you all (no offense meant to those to whom it refers): An atheist complained to a Christian friend, "You Christians have your sacred holidays, such as Christmas and Easter. Jews celebrate their national holidays, such as Passover and Yom Kippur. But we atheists have no recognized national holidays. It's unfair discrimination." His friend replied, "Why don't you celebrate April first?" On a more serious note, I would like to remind you all that we are called to be "fools for Christ" (1 Corinthians 4:10). This does not mean that we are to act stupid in the name of Christ; rather, it means that we are to go about God's business -- even if it makes us look like fools in the process.
