It Came!!!

Recently, on my twitter page, I mentioned that I was going to get a free book about a Chinese woman who spent 20 years in a labor camp for her faith in Christ. Well, look what finally arrived... and it also comes with a free magazine, courtesy of Christian Aid!

Those of you that know me well know that I LOVE reading these books; they give one such a perspective on life. Could we honestly endure 20 years in a labor camp? It's very sobering, but it challenges my faith to "go deeper." It inspires me to be all that I can be for God! Review coming soon, so stay tuned!     I look forward to your review. Right now, book reading is non-existent (you know why, lol). But I have a huge stack sitting on my night table, waiting for me, when I can pick it up again.

Today is April Fool's Day. While I am not too enthralled with the idea of playing tricks on people, I wanted to share a little story with you all (no offense meant to those to whom it refers): An atheist complained to a Christian friend, "You Christians have your sacred holidays, such as Christmas and Easter. Jews celebrate their national holidays, such as Passover and Yom Kippur. But we atheists have no recognized national holidays. It's unfair discrimination." His friend replied, "Why don't you celebrate April first?" On a more serious note, I would like to remind you all that we are called to be "fools for Christ" (1 Corinthians 4:10). This does not mean that we are to act stupid in the name of Christ; rather, it means that we are to go about God's business -- even if it makes us look like fools in the process.
