The Work of Creation Science Evangelism

This week for Something Beautiful, I wanted to talk about something, or rather, someone, who is very special to me. I have previously talked about creationist Dr. Kent Hovind, highlighting what a man of God he is and what a great work that he is doing for the Lord. For those of you who don't know, Dr. Hovind is a young-earth creationist who teaches the truth about creation and exposes the lies of evolution. You can find out more about him and his ministry here. My post has gained quite a bit of attention; so today, I'd like to show you some of the work of Creation Science Evangelism in action. As many of you know, I recently received a comment from Paul Dublin, Dr. Hovind's son-in-law. I wanted to share it, because I believe it reflects the heart behind their ministry, Creation Science Evangelism

Good afternoon, my name is Paul Dublin. I am the son in law to Dr. Kent Hovind. I found this blog today and wanted to say that it is such a blessing to see the lives that this ministry (CSE) has touched. We continue to pray for Dr. Hovind everyday. He has been able to lead over 120 inmates to the Lord up to date. God is still using him in a mighty way. Please pray for Eric Hovind who has taken over the minsitry here. Pray that God continues to give him wisdom and directiuon. Thank you for your continued support through the years.One last thought, we are trying to make plans to go to South Africa next year to do a Creation Tour for about 2 weeks. I have been a Christian all my life and had not an educated answer for the age of the earth. I had accepted a gap theory, because I being an intelectually weak Christian want to be accepted in this world and if scientists, teachers, politicians and sadly, pastors tell me that the earth is millions of years old than, they must be right. . . right. Well, thank the Lord for Kent Hovind and his creation ministries. He has truly been a blessing for me and my family. We have now bought the seminar plus other resources from Creation Ministries. The past six years I have immersed myself in the battle of world views. I see clearly that we are in a spiritual battle. We are being deceived by people that are in positions of power and influence that do not share the Christian world view. And I am learning that their world views have consequences. I work in an environment that I get to talk to different people every day. I ask the Lord to bring about conversations to share with them the God of the Bible. With the knowledge that I have learned through the Hovind seminar, I get into amazing conversations with individuals who never thought through their beliefs of origins. I have led some through the gospel message, it has changed their lives. Thank you Kent Hovind for your ministry.
Thank you all for sharing your testimonies, and keep them coming! I can't tell you how much it blesses me, because I love the work that CSE is doing. For myself, I attended a private Christian school, and while in highschool, I knew nothing about evolution, except that it was wrong. Then, one day, one of my textbooks went into some of this detail, and I found it to be fascinating. Still, I didn't know much. That was when I saw Dr. Hovind's seminars. People, if you haven't seen them, it is EXCELLENT information! Pass it out to you friends or the people that you know who have never heard about the lies of evolution! It's being taught in our public schools as true fact; but Dr. Hovind exposes it for what it is: a lie that is being taught with absolutely no foundation of fact to support it! I plan to show some clips from the seminars here at some point. However, my reason for posting these testimonials is that I find it very encouraging that God's Word never returns to Him void. The Lord is using Dr. Hovind to reach people no matter who they are, no matter where they are. And He can use you and me in the same way... William Carey once said, "Expect great things from God; Attempt great things for God." God want us to be useful to Him. As C.S. Lewis once said, "God doesn't need us; He simply wants us." God could choose to draw people to Himself without us; yet, He chooses us. He knows who we are and what we've done; yet He still loves us -- He still works through us, if we'll let Him. To me, that is truly beautiful. "Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work." ~ 2 Timothy 2:21 This post is linked to:

    Wow, really cool! Dr. Hovind's materials are excellent and great resources to strengthen your faith. I don't see how anyone could doubt creation after watching those seminars! I look forward to seeing what else you're going to post about this! :)

    Hi Kim,

    Dr. Hovind does have his own theories, but they do make some pretty good sense. I would say that about 99% of what he teaches is actually pure fact based on real science (i.e. not evolution) and the Bible. I'll be sharing some portions of his seminars soon, so if you haven't seen them yet, be sure to stick around! ;)

April Fools

Today is April Fool's Day. While I am not too enthralled with the idea of playing tricks on people, I wanted to share a little story with you all (no offense meant to those to whom it refers): An atheist complained to a Christian friend, "You Christians have your sacred holidays, such as Christmas and Easter. Jews celebrate their national holidays, such as Passover and Yom Kippur. But we atheists have no recognized national holidays. It's unfair discrimination." His friend replied, "Why don't you celebrate April first?" On a more serious note, I would like to remind you all that we are called to be "fools for Christ" (1 Corinthians 4:10). This does not mean that we are to act stupid in the name of Christ; rather, it means that we are to go about God's business -- even if it makes us look like fools in the process.
