Adam or Apes: A Comic That Explains It All...

Image
In a nutshell, this comic demonstrates the two worldviews that are prevalent in today's society - Creation and Evolution - and where each one leads. As you can see, you can't have both - theistic evolution just doesn't work !   Comic courtesy of: Answers In Genesis Online Bible Program

Ray Comfort's Campaign Results

Image
The following is from the Ray Comfort 's newsletter, Living Waters . I wanted to share it with you all because I found it to be both amazing and hilarious... ----------------------- October 12, 2010 We wanted to tell you, but couldn't until today. As you may remember, last year teams passed out more than 220,000 copies of Darwin's Origin of Species, which contained a 50-page Foreword explaining Intelligent Design and presenting the gospel. Approximately 170,000 of these were given to students in 100 of America's top universities. A clearly angered Richard Dawkins, who had encouraged students to tear out the Foreword, called me "an idiot" on CNN when asked for his thoughts on the giveaway. In March of 2010, when the Professor lectured in Australia and New Zealand, teams gave away over 20,000 books at his meetings. On that occasion he called me a "flat-earther." During this past week, professor Dawkins has been speaking in five U.S. universitie...

The Missing Link: The Imagosaurus!

Image
As promised, here's another hilarious comic on evolution... Photo courtesy of Answers In Genesis 's Online Bible program, 2000. P.S. I promise you all, an apologetics article is coming soon...

Family Reunion Evolution Style

Image
I get a kick out of comics that show the wrongs of evolution -- in particular, when I can tell that the "artist" has subtle (or not) sarcasm attached to his art. I saw this comic the other day, and I just had to post it (click on the picture to be directed to the site, where you can see it enlarged)... Courtesy of Rhymeswithorange.com . More funny comics to come! :D

Two Future Destinations

Last week, I was flipping through the book America's God and Country by William J. Federer (love that guy!) when I came across this amusing story: "Peter Cartwright, the famous Methodist circuit-riding preacher was invited by Andrew Jackson to be a guest in his home for Sunday lunch. Another guest, a young lawyer from Nashville, began attempting to draw Cartwright into an argument. He asked: 'Mr. Cartwright, do you believe there is any such place as hell, a place of torment?' Cartwright replied, 'Yes I do.' Laughing, the young lawyer responded, 'Well, I thank God I have too much sense to believe in such a thing!' Andrew Jackson was unable to hold his composure longer, and sternly addressed the lawyer, 'Well, sir, I thank God that there is such a place of torment as hell!' The astonished young lawyer responded, 'Why, General Jackson, what do you want with such a place as hell?' Jackson confronted him saying, 'To put such dam...

Inspiring Story: The Ultimate Authority

Image
Today's Inspiring Story is short and light-hearted (to a certain extent), but there is still a good lesson to be learned, so I wanted to share it with you all. This story was related by Rod Parsley, pastor of World Harvest Church (founded by Lester Sumerall). I have related it in my own words for your reading pleasure... It was an "ordinary" day (if you can call a day in the life of Lester Sumerall "ordinary"). Lester Sumerall was in his room, when suddenly everything began to shake! Lester recognized the shaking as the presence of the devil, so he stood up on his bed and began to command him to leave in Jesus Name. Everything was shaking so violently, that his bed, which had been in the corner of the room, landed in the room's center! As Lester continued to command the demon to leave, the room became calm and the shaking stopped! At this point in the story, Rod Parsley stopped and said, "Most of you would have stopped right there and written a book...

Replacing "Under God" with WHAT?

Image
Many of you know about the ongoing battle to remove the phrase "Under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance. In this short, hilarious video, comedian Rich Prator says, "What are they going to replace it with?" He gives his own suggestion: evolution. Most of you know how I feel about evolution, so this pretty much sums it up! In my opinion, it is hilarious because it is so true! Enjoy!                           If this purposed amended version of the Pledge of Allegiance is ever excepted, I wonder if it will make the students stop and think about what they are being taught in school -- "Do I actually believe that I evolved from slime? Did all of this really just happen by chance?" But of course not! We don't want the students to actually think... the horror! There goes that idea! Hmmmm...

Inspiring Story: Chinese Missionaries find their own "mana" from God

Image
I am going to start something new on this blog, a new meme... It's called Inspiring Story. Each week, I'll feature an inspiring story. I know this is "off the beaten path" of apologetics, but one of my missions is to encourage and inspire my readers, so I figure I'll give it a go. Each week, you'll find one of my favorite stories featured. Many of these stories are about trusting in God, which, as many of you know, is a subject dear to my heart. Some are humorous, but most are sobering and challenging, while at the same time, encouraging. Sometimes we forget all the wonderful things that God has done for us or taught us, so I hope that by posting these inspiring stories, we can all be encouraged and be reminded of God's hand in our lives. I believe that telling of all that God has done in our lives is one way of sharing/defending our faith, while at the same time, offering evidence that miracles still do occur in everyday life, because God does exist and H...
