About the Site
Thank you for visiting the DCF blog, a blog which has been in existence since 2008. Here, you will find information on the reliability of the Bible, the Resurrection of Jesus, and the Genesis Creation from a Christian standpoint, as well as news on the latest apologetics events. Christianity is a sound faith, and this blog is dedicated to equipping believers with Scriptural and historical proofs for the soundness of Christianity through apologetics. It is my hope that what you learn here will encourage you as a believer, and strengthen you in your faith, while enabling you to more effectively inform others about the soundness of Christian beliefs.

I am well aware that I will step on some toes with my beliefs; that is, not everyone will agree with the point of view presented here. Therefore, I have set up a comment policy that I hope will make things run smoothly. I have no problem if people disagree; I respect your right to have your own opinion. However, let's engage in healthy discussions on topics -- NOT debate (which can get rather messy). Please be sure to check out  my comment policy before commenting. Thank you, and enjoy your visit!

The Backstory: additional information

In late-August of 2008, I launched this blog. A few years prior, I had been reading many great resources on the Bible’s reliability (beginning with Lee Strobel's book, The Case for Christ), and I found the material to be quite fascinating. I began to wonder how many people there were who did not know this information; I knew there were plenty of skeptics out there just waiting to pounce on Christians, and many are not educated enough/were too unprepared to know how to respond. This prompted me to initiate this blog.

Another factor in my blogging venture was that I had previously met an atheist who claimed to want to know the truth. However, no matter how much information was presented, he would “squash” it with some excuse. This made me want to dig deeper into the evidence for the soundness of Christianity. Over the years, I have encountered numerous skeptics who challenge my stance. I am aware that the mere presence of logic may not convince a skeptic; there must also be a change of heart. However, I hope to fulfill the mandate of 1 Peter 3:15 “… always be ready to give an answer to those who ask you a reason for the hope that is in you, with all meekness and fear…” That would include both the skeptics and the true seekers. My job is not to convince anyone; the Holy Spirit will do that. I am here only to present the truth of the Gospel – to give people hope; that is the goal of this blog.

I also hope that I can be an encouragement to Christians who may be struggling, be it physically or spiritually. I find that lifting up others in the Lord gives me great joy. For this reason, much of what you read on this blog is a result of my personal Bible studies. At first, I did not see the connection between this and apologetics; however, a friend pointed out that studying the Bible – the source of our faith – is also providing evidence for Christianity. I hope that if you are encouraged by what you read, you will drop me a comment. You can also email me anytime. I love hearing from each and every one of you!
