Inspiring Story Link Party Kick Off Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, I will be kicking off my bi-weekly Inspiring Story link party! In the past, I have posted various Christian stories that I found to be inspiring. I posted these on a weekly basis, and many of them came from portions of books or magazines that I've read. My point in doing this meme is to encourage and build up one another. God does so many good things for us on a daily basis, but sometimes we miss them. However, when we look at the lives of others, or even into our own pasts, it helps us to gain perspective and be encouraged. To make it easier on my readers -- and in particular those of you who wish to participate -- the meme will now be done bi-weekly , starting tomorrow (Friday) and ending Sunday night. All entries must be of the Christian nature. If any submitted story is of the general nature (i.e. does not specifically mention God or Christianity), it must have a godly moral and contain no offensive material. Topics are limitless; among these are: 1) personal testimon...

Some Updates...

There are things you learn as you go... Since the (almost) two years that I've maintained this blog, I've met a lot of people -- some Christian, some non-Christian. Many times, people are inspired by my posts. Other times, people disagree. Therefore, I felt that I must clarify/redefine my blog rules. My intention is not to sound harsh or mean, but my goal here is 1) to be the best witness I can for Christ, 2) to inspire people, and 3) to defend the Christian faith. If people disagree with me, that doesn't bother me (everyone is entitled to his own opinion), but I want people to know where I stand. Sometimes people sneak around, look at the blog rules, and then post a nasty comment; others comment and when I don't publish their comment right away, they comment under "anonymous." This will no longer be allowed on this blog (though I do appreciate anonymous comments, except in this instance)! You can read the blog rules  for more information. On another note ...

Heaven or Hell? Part 2

A few days ago, I received a comment in connection with my post " Two Future Destinations ." I have refrained from accepting the comment only because the commentor was promoting some material which I believe to be anti-Biblical (and for future reference, this is going to be a new rule of mine: no posting links which promote such material; all such posts will be promptly deleted). I have nothing against the commentor and I encourage discussion, but I do not appreciate the promotion of material which does not agree with the Scriptures. However, I felt it was important to clarify my stance on this subject, since I am aware that there are some people who do not believe in hell. ( A note to the commentor : I have addressed a small portion at the end of this post specifically for you. However, I want to make it perfectly clear that whenever I do this, I am in no way attacking the person, but rather the belief. I want to stress that what one believes does not bother me; people have ...

Introduction

Welcome to my blog! The purpose of this blog is to educate the Christian about the reliability of the Bible. It is the duty of every Christian to make sure that they know what they believe and why. Too many people don't know, apart from, "because the Bible tells me so." Not having the answers can turn many people away from Christ. Here, you will find many interesting facts related to Bible history, chronology, archaeology, etc, that I hope will equip you to reach out to others, while knowing the answers to the critical questions that are asked that really do demand an answer. The Bible commands us to “always be ready to give a reason for the hope that is in us." Here are the rules of this blog: 1) Feel free to leave comments, but all disrespectful comments will be removed. This includes rude comments about the author or the persons presented in this blog (see point 2 below). I retain this right, and any negative comments about my decisions will be promptly delete...
